The 23 year old Edmonton born designer initially pursued photography while on scholarship at Emily Carr University in Vancouver. It was not until 2006 while in London studying design at Central Saint Martins, when the young designer began to experiment with textiles and differing cutting methods.

After graduating with honors from Emily Carr in 2007, Drew moved to Copenhagen where he worked with Danish designer Henrik Vibskov. It was under Vibskov's tutelage that Drew began to conceptually explore the colliding of opposing forces and refine his approach to pattern making.
